Technical Skills
Excel
I am skilled with Microsoft excel. I have used it fairly extensively in my courses, at work, and in my personal life. I am best versed with pivot tables, vlookup, index-match, the various if statements, conditional formatting, as well as other basic knowledge. I am by no means a master, but I am more than competent.
Alteryx
I have a base knowledge of Alteryx from class only. I am not an expert, but I have been exposed to it and have a solid understanding of how it could be utilized. I would say that I at least know how to learn it at this point.
TRAX
I work under the business operations manager for Baylor's Campus Living and Learning department. A large part of my job is working in TRAX (PeopleSoft financial transaction system from Oracle) to make payments and process vouchers. Again, I am not an expert but I am very familiar.
Ignite
TRAX was replaced with a new ERP, Ignite, by Oracle. I process requisitions and payments for the purchasing our department does. I'm still learning this system, but am excited to see how it works as compared to TRAX.
AP Style Writing
I took a journalism class called Writing for Media Markets. My writing was carefully scrutinized to be concise and follow AP style writing. I consider myself a somewhat talented writer, and I still use my AP Stylebook frequently to make sure everything is properly formatted.
VITA/TCE Certification
I have my Volunteer Income Tax Assistant certification for the basic test. This was a required certification for me to volunteer in the VITA program. In this program we volunteer to file peoples' federal income taxes for free. I am now well versed with basic personal income taxes.
JMP
I used this statistical software in my Business Analytics class to perform hypothesis testing on data sets to make decisions. I was not an expert, but I can perform analysis on data sets to see if their trends are significant, vary from each other, etc.
Adobe Illustrator
I am extremely well acquainted with Adobe Illustrator, a professional-grade graphic design program. I have designed t-shirts, model airplanes, business cards, logos, flyers, and other things. I'm just a hobbyist, but I can put some decently good things together.
Adobe Premiere Pro
I have my Certified Associate Certificate for Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. This is a professional-grade video editing program. I have made many videos and entered several film festivals. Like with Illustrator, I am just a hobbyist, but I can create something presentable.
I have experience running non-personal accounts on Instagram. I have used analytics data to track followers and optimize post times, content, and maximize reach. I have no official training, but I have worked a lot with Instagram for non-personal purposes.
